Deals:

Apollo has agreed to acquire a majority stake in OEG Energy Group, an offshore energy solutions business, from funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management and other investors, in a deal that values the business at $1 billion.

Arcus Infrastructure Partners backed FixMap, a Polish fibre-to-the-home operator, has acquired Internet Union, a south-western polish FTTH operator and internet service provider.

Arcus Infrastructure Partners has announced the acquisition of Abyss AS, a leading specialist service vessel provider supporting the salmon farming industry in Norway and Iceland.

Ardian has reached an agreement to acquire renewable energy company Akuo. A specialist in wind power, photovoltaics and storage, Akuo is present in a dozen key markets in Europe and on both American continents, with a production capacity of 1.9 GW, and it aims to reach 5 GW by 2030.

Ares Management Corp has completed the acquisition of global alternative asset management firm GCP International, the international business of GLP Capital Partners, to create a $115 billion global real assets platform with enhanced capabilities across new economy sectors and attractive geographies. The estimated value of the transaction was $3.7 billion.

Azora through its subsidiary platform, Tillion Data Centers, has announced the development of a new data center in Zaragoza, located in the region of Aragon, Spain. With an initial capacity of 150 megawatts, expandable up to 300 megawatts, Azora plans to invest up to €2 billion in the project.

Basalt Infrastructure Partners have acquired Circle Infra Parnters, a company that manages and maintains the shared infrastructure at Chemelot, a large chemical site in the Netherlands.

Commerz Real has acquired a ready-to-build solar park in eastern France for its Klimavest fund from BayWa r.e., which is developing the solar park.

Keppel’s flagship infrastructure fund and its co-investor have acquired a 100% stake in Global Marine Group (GMG) from investment affiliates of J.F. Lehman & Co. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, GMG is one of the world’s largest independent subsea cable solutions providers.

KGAL’s renewable-energy fund, KGAL ESPF 5, has acquired a 40% stake in the project development of five wind turbines in Bierbergen, Germany.

Marguerite have invested in AQS AS, acquiring a 50% stake in the leading Norwegian operator of specialised service vessels for aquaculture.

Mirova has made a €50 million investment in GreenWay, a company that provides comprehensive electric vehicle charging solutions across Poland, Slovakia and Croatia.

NextEnergy Capital, through its NextPower UK ESG fund, has acquired ready-to-build solar and colocated BESS project in the U.K.

Octopus Energy Generation announces four solar and wind deals in France.

PGGM, a pension fund service provider in the Netherlands, has acquired a 49% stake in Carbon Collectors on behalf of Pension Fund Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW).

Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners has closed a record debt financing for the United Kingdom’s largest solar-plus-battery storage project, which combines a £218.5 million term loan and a £20 million VAT facility.

SEGRO and Pure Data Centres Group have formed a 50-50 joint venture to develop £1 billion fully fitted data center in London availability zone.

Fundraising:

Areim has completed an additional capital raise of €450 million for its Nordic data center fund, Areim DC Fund, bringing the total amount raised to €900 million.

Aquila Capital has recently launched a closed-end fund with a €600 million ($650 million) target. Aquila Capital Energy Transition Fund I (ETF I) is backed by shareholder Commerzbank and will target value-added infrastructure investments in Europe.

AXA IM Alts has secured €660 million of additional capital commitments for its European Student Accommodation Strategy (ESAS). This takes committed equity into the strategy to €1.3 billion.

BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partners expected to hit $25 billion target for its Global Infrastructure Partners V fund in the coming weeks.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ fifth flagship fund, Copenhagen Infrastructure V (CI V), has surpassed its target size of €12 billion at final close.

EQT Infrastructure VI holds final close at its hard-cap, raising €21.5 billion in total commitments.

Glentra Capital’s inaugural fund, Glentra Fund I has completed its third close, at €540 million in commitments, with the final close set for June, expecting to reach the final target of €750 million.

Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners has raised $4.1 billion for North Haven Infrastructure Partners IV.

Movers & Promotions:

Equitix has appointed Ted Frith as Head of Business Development in the UK, who joins from GLIL Infrastructure, and Simon Davy as Managing Director of investments in the United Kingdom, joining from Local Pension Partnerships Investment.

InfraRed Capital Partners, an international infrastructure asset manager, has appointed Mark Tiner to CFO of its core infrastructure funds. He was previously CFO at Cordiant Capital.

I Squared Capital, an independent global infrastructure investment firm, has made two senior appointments in London. Philippe Lenoble will join the investment team as a Managing Director, and Bogdan Ciobotaru will join the asset management team as Managing Director.

Mirova has promoted Anne-Laure Messier and Hélène Dimitracopoulos to Managing Directors and Deputy Heads of Energy Transition Infrastructure - OECD, alongside Céline Lauverjat.

Ryan Shockley has been appointed Senior Partner at Antin Infrastructure Partners in the US, starting in May. Shockley, a senior investment professional who was formerly at BlackRock, brings more than 20 years of high-level experience in private equity and the energy and power infrastructure space to Antin.
